Edited Arts is launching Final Head (No. 31) by Mirroreyes.
Mirroreyes is a London-based producer and vocalist. In a damaged high definition, he paints sonic sprawls of the machinic and the tainted sublime, enmeshing memory and landscape. Mirroreyes’ set-up speaks to lovers of electronic music with a baggage of nostalgia for noise and industrial or those rushing to put the ‘post‘ in front of ‘digital’.
Final Head (No. 31) is Mirroreyes’ first single, inspired by Alexander McQueen’s 90’s runway shows, McQueen’s relationship with Issie Blow and a fragrance bought from Primark. A hallucination in blue, black and brown, the ‘fabric’ of Final Head exists between an otherworldly runaway experience, a bedroom flooded with harsh 2 PM sunlight and the local woodlands of his childhood. Drawing sonically from the ‘Hardcore Continuum’ as well as more organic textures, Final Head (No. 31) moves from jadedness to transcendence, culminating in a slow dance in a forest at night, each pirouette leaving a stain on the ground, whilst the curtains of a world built with such care fall before a backdrop of city lights.
